Pope Pius XII: “Whoever has consecrated himself to Mary belongs to her in a special way. He has become as
it were a sanctuary of the Most Holy Virgin.”
(Marian Year, 1954)
it were a sanctuary of the Most Holy Virgin.”
(Marian Year, 1954)
Dear Marian Devotee,
Over the last several decades, it’s apparent that many sincere Marian devotees are often hampered in their efforts to deepen their devotion to Mary, partly because of what they have found in other books, partly because a lot of the information is simply rehashed, and partly because they are not taught the things they need to know to really get their devotion to Mary off the ground, simply because most people don’t know the essence of this “secret” God has revealed.
The good news is that in this short message, I’m going to show you, with Our Lady’s help, the easy steps you can take to ensure you succeed.
The good news is that in this short message, I’m going to show you, with Our Lady’s help, the easy steps you can take to ensure you succeed.
“Be perfect as your heavenly Father is perfect” (Mt. 5:48)
Even a cursory reading of the Gospels shows that Jesus’ entire life was preoccupied with giving the greatest glory possible to His heavenly Father.
He tells us: “I always do the things that please Him” (Jn. 8:29).
His call to perfection is a command for everyone to do the same.
And while at first glance, Christian perfection may seem out of reach, it’s quite possible to achieve, because Jesus tells us: “All things are possible with God” (Mk. 10:27; Mt. 19:26; Lk. 18:27).
To help you achieve the Christian perfection He calls you to, God revealed a secret to St. Louis-Marie de Montfort, who wrote:
“Predestinate soul, here is a secret the Most High has taught me, which I have not been able to find in any book, old or new. I confide it to you, by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit” (“The Secret of Mary”, #1).
It’s precisely because God revealed this secret to him that St. Louis’ able to say:
“This devotion is an easy, short, perfect, and secure way of arriving at union with Our Lord, in which the perfection of a Christian consists” (“True Devotion to Mary”, #152).
And…
“This practice of devotion to our Blessed Lady is also a perfect path by which to go and unite ourselves to Jesus, because the divine Mary is the most perfect and the most holy of creatures, and because Jesus, Who has come to us most perfectly, took no other road for His great and admirable journey” (True Devotion, #157).
Then…
“This devotion to our Blessed Lady is also a secure way to go to Jesus, and to acquire perfection by uniting us to Him” (True Devotion, #159).

Why St. Louis Says So Many People Make Mistakes
Now don’t click away because you think you’ve heard all this before. Don’t assume you don’t need to know what I’m about to show you, simply because you’ve already read St. Louis’ “True Devotion to Mary” or “The Secret of Mary”.
Even though he calls this devotion an easy way to go to God and achieve Christian perfection, he insists that even the most well-intentioned people never figure out how to make this devotion work for them.
As a result, they never get anywhere with it.
Here’s St. Louis again:
“As the essential of this devotion consists in the interior which it ought to form, it will not be equally comprehended by everybody. Some will stop at what is exterior in it, and will go no further, and these will be the greatest number.
“Some, in small number, will enter into its inward spirit; but they will only mount but one step. Who will mount to the second step? Who will get as far as the third? Lastly, who will so advance as to make this devotion his habitual state?” (True Devotion, #119)
And, to repeat what you read above…
“I have found many people who, with admirable zeal, have adopted the exterior practices of this holy slavery of Jesus and Mary, but I have found only a few who have accepted its interior spirit, and still fewer who have persevered in it” (Secret, #44).
What’s more, he admitted he left many things out of his writings, or only touched on things briefly.
Listen:
“I have now said many things about many things about the Most Holy Virgin; but I have many more to say, and there are infinitely more which I shall omit, whether from ignorance, inability, or want of time, in the design which I have to form a true client of Mary, and a true disciple of Jesus Christ” (True Devotion, #111).
And…
“As I have not much time for writing, nor you for reading, I shall say everything as briefly as possible” (Secret, #2).
By the time you finish reading this message, you’ll know how to fill in all the gaps, because you’re going to discover: (1) how to make this devotion your habitual state, (2) how to accept the interior spirit of this devotion, and, (3) how to persevere in it, so you can, like Jesus, give the greatest glory to His heavenly Father, and enjoy a much closer relationship with Him.
I’m going to prove every word you just read beyond any shadow of a doubt.

What Jesus Told St. Faustina
You already saw that St. Louis warned:
“There are at this time, more than ever, false devotions to our Blessed Lady which it is easy to mistake for true ones. The devil, like a counterfeiter and a subtle and experienced deceiver, has already deceived and destroyed so many souls by a false devotion to the Blessed Virgin, that he makes a daily use of his diabolical experience to plunge many others by this same way into everlasting perdition.”
“As a counterfeiter does not ordinarily counterfeit anything but gold and silver, or very rarely the other metals, because they are not worth the trouble, so the evil spirit does not for the most part counterfeit the other devotions, but only those to Jesus and Mary, the devotion to Holy Communion, and to our Blessed Lady, because they are, among other devotions, what gold and silver are amongst metals” (True Devotion, #90).
Jesus confirmed the truth of St. Louis’ words when He revealed to St. Faustina why it’s so easy for the devil to deceive so many unsuspecting Catholics.
St. Faustina wrote in her Diary…
“As I was meditating on the sin of the Angels and their immediate punishment, I asked Jesus why the Angels had been punished as soon as they had sinned. I heard a voice: Because of their profound knowledge of God. No person on earth, even though a great saint, has such knowledge of God as an Angel has” (Diary, 1332).
Think about that…
If Satan’s knowledge of God is greater than that of the great saints, then his knowledge of the spiritual life is also much greater than anybody else’s.
It’s like this: Most people couldn’t recognize a forgery of the Mona Lisa, even if they were told it was a forgery. That’s because they don’t know the original well enough. In the same way, the devil knows the original (God) better than any of us.
That’s why so many people breeze through life without realizing they’ve been deceived by a false devotion to Mary, until it’s too late to correct it.
That’s why God issues such warnings as:
“There is a way which seems right to a man: but the ends thereof lead to death” (Prov. 14:12; 16:25).
“And yet man knows not whether he be worthy of love, or hatred” (Ecclesiastes 9:1).
“With fear and trembling work out your salvation” (Eph. 2:12).
“Satan transforms himself into an angel of light” (2 Cor. 11:14).
“Be sober and vigilant. Your adversary the devil is prowling around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour” (1 Pt. 5:8).
I don’t know which page you landed on first when you came to this website, but because mistakes in your devotion to Mary can cost you your eternal salvation, showing you how to avoid them is a running theme throughout this website.

How To Protect Yourself From The Devil’s Snares
St. Thomas Aquinas wrote: “Nemo dat quod non habet” (No one gives what he doesn’t have).
I only point that out, because you already saw that St. Louis said he couldn’t find the secret God revealed to him “in any book, old or new.”
That includes the writings of the Saints, most of whom he said didn’t know this secret.
Listen…
“There have been some Saints, but they have been in small numbers, who have passed by this sweet path to go to Jesus, because the Holy Ghost, faithful Spouse of Mary, has by a singular grace disclosed it to them.
“But the rest of the Saints, who are the greater number, although they have all had devotion to our Blessed Lady, have not on that account, or at least very little, entered upon this way. This is why they have had to pass through harder and more dangerous trials” (True Devotion, #152).
The Saints couldn’t teach you what they didn’t know.
That’s why St. Louis pointed out:
“It is true that we can attain to divine union by other roads; but it is by many more crosses and exceptional setbacks, and with many more difficulties, which we shall find it hard to overcome” (True Devotion, #152).
And so, growing closer to God becomes the hardest of tasks instead of a journey filled with joy!
That’s why I said it’s apparent that many sincere Marian devotees are often hampered in their efforts to deepen their relationship with God, and they are not taught the things they need to know to really get their devotion to Mary off the ground.
The good news is St. Louis emphasizes that this devotion which God revealed to him is “…a path of roses and honey compared with the other paths” (True Devotion, #152).
And he promises you:
“Experience will teach you much more about this devotion than I can tell you; and if you remain faithful to the little I have taught you, you will find so many rich fruits of grace in this practice that you will be surprised and filled with joy” (Secret, #53).
And that’s not all.
St. Paul wrote: “Eye has not seen, ear has not heard, neither has it entered into the heart of man, what things God has prepared for those who love Him” (1 Cor. 2:9).
Once you begin practicing this devotion, St. Louis assures you the benefits keep flowing to you one right after the other, and you can experience here on earth a foretaste of Heaven. Here he is again:
“Only experience can teach the wonders wrought by Mary, wonders so great that neither the wise nor the proud, nor even many of the devout can believe them” (Secret, #57).
I only point that out, because you already saw that St. Louis said he couldn’t find the secret God revealed to him “in any book, old or new.”

“I am the Way and the Truth and the Life. No one comes
to the Father except through Me” (Jn. 14:6)
to the Father except through Me” (Jn. 14:6)
One of the reasons why this devotion to Mary makes you bulletproof against all the attacks of the devil is because St. Louis assures you that it…
“…is a path trodden by Jesus Christ, the Incarnate Wisdom, our sole Head. One of His members in passing by the same road cannot deceive himself. It is an easy road, because of the fullness of the grace and unction of the Holy Ghost, Who fills it to overflowing. It is a short road, which leads us to Jesus in a little time” (True Devotion, #168).
And he spells out some of the benefits this devotion gives you:
“This devotion to the Blessed Virgin is a short road to find Jesus Christ, both because it is a road which we do not stray from, and because, as I have said, it is a road we tread with joy and ease, and, by consequence, with speed. We make more progress in a brief period of submission to and dependence on Mary than in whole years of our own will and of relying upon ourselves” (True Devotion, #155).
“This devotion is a secure means of going to Jesus Christ, because it is the very characteristic of our Blessed Lady to conduct us surely to Jesus, just as it is the very characteristic of Jesus to conduct us surely to the Eternal Father” (True Devotion, #164).
“She unites them to Him with a most intimate union, and she keeps them unshaken in that union” (True Devotion, #211).
“By this practice, faithfully observed, you will give Jesus more glory in a month than by any other practice, however difficult, in many years” (True Devotion, #222).
“Do not think, dear soul, that Mary, the most fruitful of all pure creatures, who has brought forth even a God, remains idle in a faithful soul. She will cause Jesus Christ to live in that soul, and the soul to live in constant union with Jesus Christ” (Secret, #56).
Are you beginning to see why the devil puts so much effort into counterfeiting this devotion to Mary?
He knows what St. Louis says is true:
“It is Mary alone who has found grace before God, without the aid of any other mere creature: it is only by her that all those who have found grace before God have found it at all; and it is only by her that all those who shall come afterwards shall find it” (True Devotion, #44).
“It all comes to this, then: that you should find an easy means for obtaining from God the grace necessary to make you holy; and this means I wish to make known to you. Now, I say that to find this grace of God, we must find Mary (Secret, #6).

“Get behind Me, Satan!” (Mt. 16:23)
Blessed Pope Pius IX wrote…
“God has committed to Mary the treasury of all good things, in order that everyone may know that through her are obtained every hope, every grace, and all salvation. For this is His will, that we obtain everything through Mary.”
That’s why Satan works so hard to counterfeit devotion to Mary.
St. Louis lists out some reasons why the devil tries to keep you as far away from this devotion as possible:
“Where Mary is, there the evil spirit is not” (True Devotion, #166).
“But the faithful Mary cannot let anything which has been entrusted to her be lost through her negligence. Heaven and earth would pass away sooner than she could be negligent or faithless to those who trust in her” (True Devotion, #176).
“The third good which Our Lady does to her servants is that she conducts and directs them according to the will of her Son. She shows them the paths of eternal life. There where the guidance of Mary is, neither the evil spirit with his illusions, nor the heretics with their subtleties, can ever come” (True Devotion, #209).
“For where Mary is the devil has never had and never will have access” (Secret, #17).
Furthermore, Satan sneakily works to undermine your faith, because he knows that “without faith it is impossible to please God” (Heb. 11:6).
He also knows what Our Lady does for you when you practice this devotion to her:
“Our Blessed Lady will give you also a portion of her faith, which was the greatest of all faiths that ever were on earth, greater than the faith of all the Patriarchs, Prophets, Apostles, and Saints put together” (True Devotion, #214).
St. James tells us: “Submit yourselves to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you” (James 4:7).
“God has committed to Mary the treasury of all good things, in order that everyone may know that through her are obtained every hope, every grace, and all salvation. For this is His will, that we obtain everything through Mary.”

St. James tells us: “Submit yourselves to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you” (James 4:7).
It’s impossible to do the second without doing the first. Because submission precedes resisting.
Now, Jesus’ entire life was characterized by His absolute submission to His Father’s will.
“My food is to do the will of Him Who sent Me, that I may finish His work” (Jn. 4:34).
“I cannot do anything on My own. As I hear, so I judge: and My judgment is just; because I seek not My own will, but the will of Him Who sent Me” (Jn. 5:30).
“Because I came down from heaven not to do My own will, but the will of Him Who sent Me” (Jn. 6:38).
St. Louis points out…
“Jesus Christ gave more glory to God the Father by submission to His Mother during those thirty years than He would have given Him in converting the whole world by the working of the most stupendous miracles.
“Oh, how highly we glorify God, when, to please Him, we submit ourselves to Mary, after the example of Jesus Christ, our sole Exemplar!” (True Devotion, #18)
Mary is the only person aside from Jesus who completely conformed herself to the Will of God. By allowing yourself to be completely hers, you are becoming completely God’s, because her will has always been only God’s will by her own choice.
The devil knows that when you practice this devotion to Mary:
“The soul of our Blessed Lady will communicate itself to you, to glorify the Lord. Her spirit will enter into the place of yours, to rejoice in God her salvation, provided only that you are faithful to the practices of this devotion” (True Devotion, #217).
St. Louis gave another warning and another reason why the devil hates this devotion to Mary:
“The devil, knowing that he has but little time, and now less than ever, to destroy souls, will every day redouble his efforts and his combats. He will presently raise up new persecutions, and will put terrible snares before the faithful servants and true children of Mary, whom it gives him more trouble to overcome than it does to conquer others” (True Devotion, #50).
St. Maximilian Kolbe told his fellow Franciscans: “The devotion taught by Blessed Grignion (St. Louis) is ours exactly.”
He echoed St. Louis when he told them:
“Modern times are dominated by Satan and will be more so in the future. The conflict with hell cannot be engaged by men, even the most clever. The lmmaculata alone has from God the promise of victory over Satan. However, assumed into heaven, the Mother of God now requires our cooperation. She seeks souls who will consecrate themselves entirely to Her, who will become in Her hands effective instruments for the defeat of Satan and the spreading of God’s Kingdom upon earth.”
The devil knows that without this devotion to Mary, you’re as helpless as a turtle on its back.
Now, Jesus’ entire life was characterized by His absolute submission to His Father’s will.

The devil knows that without this devotion to Mary, you’re as helpless as a turtle on its back.
Finally, and most importantly, the main reason the devil doesn’t want you to practice this devotion to Mary is because he wants to prevent you from receiving the grace of final perseverance.
The Catholic Encyclopedia says:
“Final perseverance is the preservation of the state of grace till the end of life. The expression is taken from Matthew 10:22, “He that shall persevere unto the end, he shall be saved.”
The devil knows you can’t be saved without the grace of final perseverance.
But St. Louis promises you:
“Our Blessed Lady is the faithful Virgin, who by her fidelity to God repairs the losses which the faithless Eve has caused by her infidelity. It is she who obtains fidelity to God and final perseverance for those who commit themselves to her” (True Devotion, #175).
St. Louis lamented:
“I have found many people who, with admirable zeal, have adopted the exterior practices of this holy slavery of Jesus and Mary, but I have found only a few who have accepted its interior spirit, and still fewer who have persevered in it” (Secret, #44).

The Catholic Encyclopedia says:
“Final perseverance is the preservation of the state of grace till the end of life. The expression is taken from Matthew 10:22, “He that shall persevere unto the end, he shall be saved.”

“True Devotion To Mary Series”
This is the first and only series of its kind. It covers everything you could ever want to know about St. Louis-Marie de Montfort’s Marian spirituality.
The “True Devotion To Mary Series” is a collection of 10 books (all of which are stand-alone), that explain everything you need to know about this devotion, so you can be sure of succeeding where St. Louis says most people fail.
You’re about to discover what St. Louis himself did to skyrocket his own devotion to Mary.
And you’ll discover how to accept the interior spirit of this devotion, and persevere in it.
Each book covers a different aspect of living this devotion to Mary. Best of all, they’ll give a tremendous boost to your devotion to Mary even if you’re not consecrated to her yet.
They discuss, in great detail, everything from preparing for your consecration to Mary all the way to preparing for the End Times in union with her.
They fill in all the gaps St. Louis admits are in his writings, and they expand on the topics he only mentioned briefly.
To prove to you that you don’t have to take my word for it, I’ll just give you the “Starting Five” (as they say in basketball).

To prove to you that you don’t have to take my word for it, I’ll just give you the “Starting Five” (as they say in basketball).
First, there’s “The Holy Slavery of the Admirable Holy Mother of God”. This was St. Louis’ favorite Marian book.
Canon Blain, his best friend, reported:
“As Louis-Marie devoted a lot of time to spiritual reading, he became familiar with nearly all books dealing with the spiritual life. Those which in my opinion were his favorites were those by the late Fr. Boudon.
“He would have liked everybody to join the society of the slaves of the Blessed Virgin. The source of this zeal was the book “The Holy Slavery of the Admirable Mother of God” written on this subject by the late Fr. Boudon.”
Although St. Louis said he couldn’t find the secret God revealed to him in any book, when he decided to teach this secret to others, he quoted this book more than any other.
Montfort Father Jean-Marie Texier stated:
“The writings of this holy priest (Fr. Boudon) charmed the fervent seminarian (St. Louis) in his free time and gave a lively impulse to his momentum toward the good. But none captivated him as much as “The Holy Slavery of the Admirable Mother of God”.
“It is a rich repertoire from which Montfort drew extensively when he composed his “Treatise on the True Devotion”. One finds, in effect, in the writings of Montfort, the thoughts of Boudon, and sometimes even his expressions.”
Second, there’s the “Preparation for Consecration to the Most Blessed Virgin”.
Jesus and St. Paul teach about the importance of planning and preparation.
Jesus asked: “Which of you wishing to construct a tower does not first sit down and calculate the cost to see if there is enough for its completion?” (Lk. 14:28)
And St. Paul wrote: “As a wise architect, I have laid the foundation” (1 Cor. 3:10).
This book is the most solid foundation you can find for preparing for your consecration to Mary. It’s why the Montfort Fathers have praised it more than any other book on preparing for your consecration to her. They gave it their highest recommendation.
They stated: “These meditations are the work of a Montfortian missionary (Fr. Jean-Marie Texier), about whom we have said: “He loved the Most Blessed Virgin with the heart of a child; he spoke of her with the heart of his Blessed Father (St. Louis).” This book follows St. Louis’ method of preparing for your consecration exactly!
Third, there’s “To Jesus Through Mary”. Since St. Louis said most people fizzle out after they make their consecration to Mary, Fr. Texier wrote this book as a follow-up to his book on preparing for your consecration.
You know how you read above that St. Louis said, “Some, in small number, will enter into its inward spirit; but they will only mount but one step. Who will mount to the second step? Who will get as far as the third? Lastly, who will so advance as to make this devotion his habitual state?” (True Devotion, #119).
Well, you’re going to be thrilled with this book, because on page 122, Fr. Texier shows you exactly how to “remain in Mary as a permanent state,” and consequently, to make this devotion your habitual state.
Furthermore, do you remember how successful St. Louis said the devil is at counterfeiting devotion to Mary, and costing people their eternal salvation?
Well, on pages 130-131 of this book, Fr. Texier gives you three signs that Mary’s working in your soul, which it’s impossible for the devil to counterfeit.
Fr. Texier also wrote two other books in this Series, one which shows you how to use this devotion to prepare for Holy Communion with Mary, and the other shows you how to make your thanksgiving after Holy Communion with Mary.
Both books ensure you’ll never become the victim of a counterfeit devotion to Holy Communion. These are some of the reasons why the Montfort Fathers called him “a remarkable spiritual writer”.

The fourth book is “The Virgin Mary and the Apostles of the Last Times”, by Montfort Father Antonin Lhoumeau.
God warns us: “O that they would be wise and would understand, and would provide for their last end” (Dt. 32:29).
This is the only book completely dedicated to showing you how to use the devotion God revealed to St. Louis to prepare for the end times. It’s the only complete commentary on St. Louis’ prophetic views about the Last Times. It answers questions you may have had about the end times, and questions you didn’t know needed to be asked.
Fr. Lhoumeau writes:
“As the battle becomes widespread and intensified, the Marian devotion of St. Louis-Marie de Montfort, already so well adapted to the needs of his time, spreads in a surprising way and proves to be a weapon of choice in the hands of the children of the Virgin” (p. 22).
The Montfort Fathers said, “Abbé Antonin Lhoumeau was a man gifted with great talents. Fr. Lhoumeau made an enormous contribution to the spread of Marian spirituality. He wrote books which were very well received.”
Lastly, there’s the flagship book of this series, the 475 page “Commentary on the Treatise on the True Devotion to the Blessed Virgin”. This is the only book the Montfort Fathers have ever called “essential” to understanding the Marian devotion St. Louis taught. They said:
“The “Commentary on the Treatise on the True Devotion” points out everything the reader must know or remember in order to penetrate completely the immortal masterpiece of St. Louis-Marie Grignion de Montfort. It is an essential book for whoever desires to learn the Perfect Devotion.”
And elsewhere they assure you that this Commentary “furnishes to readers everything they must know in order to understand and taste the doctrine of Bl. Louis-Marie de Montfort.”
The Vatican echoed the Montfort Fathers.
The Vatican’s Substitute Secretary of State, Giovanni Battista Montini (the future Pope St. Paul VI), wrote a letter to Montfort Father Armand Plessis (the author), in which he says this Commentary is “completely penetrated with the Marian piety which animated Bl. Grignion de Montfort.”
If you read just this book alone, you’d be light-years ahead of most other Catholics, because St. Louis calls this devotion a…
“…mystery of grace unknown to even the wisest and most spiritual among Christians” (True Devotion, #21).

Each book in the “True Devotion To Mary Series” was written by a top expert in St. Louis-Marie de Montfort’s Marian spirituality.
I discovered these books, because of a meeting I had at the headquarters of the Montfort Fathers in Rome with Fr. Battista Cortinovis. He’s the Postulator for the cause to have St. Louis declared a Doctor of the Church. He’s got the best resources anyone could find, and, because of the position he holds, he’s a real expert.
Now, I promised you at the beginning of this message that by the time you finished reading it, you’d know: (1) how to make this devotion your habitual state, (2) how to accept the interior spirit of this devotion, and, (3) how to persevere in it.
If you read the brief synopses of the few books I mentioned, then you’ll realize that I’ve kept my promise. “The Holy Slavery of the Admirable Mother of God” certainly wouldn’t have been St. Louis’ favorite Marian book if it couldn’t you accomplish all three things.
The books in the “True Devotion To Mary Series” blow the lid off every single trap the devil sets for unsuspecting Catholics. Here’s the reason why this is the kind of information the devil had hoped you would never find out about.
St. Louis wrote:
“I clearly foresee that raging beasts shall come in fury to tear with their diabolical teeth this little writing and him whom the Holy Ghost has made use of to write it, or at least to smother it in a coffer, that it may not appear. They shall even attack and persecute those who shall read and carry it out in practice. But what matter? On the contrary, so much the better!” (True Devotion, #114).
If the devil goes to such efforts to attack the “True Devotion to Mary”, because it’s so powerful against him, even though St. Louis admits:
“I have now said many things about many things about the Most Holy Virgin; but I have many more to say, and there are infinitely more which I shall omit, whether from ignorance, inability, or want of time, in the design which I have to form a true client of Mary, and a true disciple of Jesus Christ” (True Devotion, #111)…
…how much more will he do everything in his power to dissuade or prevent you altogether from reading the books in the “True Devotion To Mary Series”, which as you’ve just seen, fill in those gaps?
Another reason why you’ll find these books helpful is because St. Louis promises you’ll receive many wonderful graces and benefits when you practice this devotion. But he says they’re not noticeable right away:
“She is the worker of great wonders, particularly in our soul, but she works them in secret, in a way unknown to the soul itself, for were it to know, it might destroy the beauty of her works” (Secret, #55).
The easy practices in these books will serve as your signposts when Our Lady is working in silence. That way, you’ll for sure that you’re being led by Mary rather than being deceived by the devil who disguises himself as an “angel of light” (2 Cor. 11:14), because, as St. Louis assures you: “She will always reveal the malice of the serpent” (True Devotion, #53).
Obviously, there isn’t space here to cover everything using this devotion to Mary will do for you. But everything is covered with simplicity and clarity in the “True Devotion To Mary Series”.
Since God revealed this Marian devotion, nothing can possibly work faster or better to help you “make your calling and election sure” (2 Pt. 1:10), and ensure you get to Heaven.
These books lift the veil on the devotion to Mary that St. Louis calls “a secret unknown to almost all Christians, even the most devout” (True Devotion, #177).
Just as you couldn’t identify a fake Mona Lisa unless you had thoroughly studied the original, how will you identify whether or not your devotion is authentic or one of the false ones St. Louis says the devil uses against so many unsuspecting Catholics, unless you know what authentic devotion to Mary looks like?

Three Kindle-Only Books
I put these here, because you won’t find them on the “Books” page. The information in these books is so important, I couldn’t wait for the paperback covers to be finished.
“The Holy Mass in Union with Our Lady” (Shows you how to use the secret of St. Louis during the entirety of the Mass.)
“Thanksgiving With Mary In The Spirit Of St. Louis-Marie Grignion de Montfort” (Shows you how to use this secret to make the moment of Holy Communion an all-day communion with Jesus.)
“Consecration to Mary and the Baptismal Promises according to Saint Louis-Marie de Montfort” (Reveals more about the little-known connection between consecration to Mary and the Baptismal Promises than all catechisms combined. Because none of them ever mention it.)

“He has the exact same spirit as we have.” (St. Maximilian Kolbe)
That’s what St. Maximilian told his fellow Franciscans about the famous Marianist priest, Fr. Emil Neubert.
Why, you may be wondering, are his three books included here?
Because St. Maximilian also told his fellow Franciscans: “The devotion taught by Blessed Grignion (St. Louis) is ours exactly.”
In other words, when it comes to devotion to Mary, St. Louis and Fr. Neubert are on the same page.
Whereas St. Louis taught this secret to everyone in general in his missions, Fr. Neubert wrote books to explain this secret to all states of life.
So, even though Fr. Neubert’s books aren’t part of the “True Devotion To Mary Series”, they’re written in the exact same spirit.
A respected priest who knew Father Neubert said he was “the only man I ever knew who could speak incessantly of the Blessed Virgin and always had something informative and interesting to say.”
Therefore, his books aren’t recycled information. They’re an original approach.
Frank Duff, Founder of the Legion of Mary, was also a huge fan of Fr. Neubert’s Marian books.
Independently of one another, St. Maximilian Kolbe and Frank Duff reached out and struck up friendships with Fr. Neubert.
They both encouraged everyone to read his Marian books.
St. Maximilian and Fr. Neubert used to write letters back and forth. St. Maximilian even translated one of his books.
And Mr. Duff tirelessly promoted Fr. Neubert’s books throughout Ireland.
Furthermore, Pope St. John XXIII told Mr. Duff: “The Legion of Mary presents the true face of the Catholic Church.”
And if you’ve ever read “The Official Handbook of the Legion of Mary”, you know the Legion’s spirituality is based entirely on the Marian spirituality of St. Louis-Marie de Montfort.

Fr. Neubert’s three books explain the Marian devotion of St. Louis to Catholic children, families and teachers.
“Your Heavenly Mom”
“Mary and the Christian Family”
“Mary and the Christian Educator”
Lastly, you’ll discover…
“The Marian Writings of St. Robert Bellarmine”
I couldn’t leave this one out, because when Pope Clement VIII named St. Robert a cardinal, he said…
“The Church of God has not his equal in learning.”

At this point, you’ve now seen what this “secret” devotion to Mary is, how Jesus Himself practiced it, what it can do for you, why the devil absolutely hates it, and the risks and dangers you’re exposed to without it.
And so, I ask you…
And so, I ask you…
Which Would You Choose?
Imagine you went to the post office to mail a package.
You give your package to the clerk to put postage on it.
Suppose the clerk held it in his hand, and said, “It feels like it’s about 9 or 10 pounds.”
Would you rely on his judgment to apply the proper postage simply because he felt how heavy your package was?
Or would you tell him to put it on a scale and weigh it?
Obviously, even if the clerk worked at the post office for twenty-five years, you realize you’d pay the proper postage if he used a scale.
Now suppose you had to judge the value of a devotion to Mary, in order to make sure you were on the correct path to God, and not a victim of one of the many false devotions to her that St. Louis talks about.
Would you be satisfied with a devotion to Mary taught by someone else, or one revealed by God, in which He shows you exactly what true devotion to Mary is?
Obviously, since no one knows, or could possibly know, more about devotion to Mary than God does, then the devotion to Mary which God revealed would work much faster and much better for you.
That’s why St. Louis calls this devotion “more glorious to God, more sanctifying to the soul, and more useful to the neighbor, than any other of the devotions to her” (True Devotion, #118).
And it’s why he wrote elsewhere:
“I have never found a practice of devotion to Our Lady more solid than this one, since it takes its inspiration from the example of Jesus Christ. Neither have I found any devotion which redounds more to God’s glory, is more salutary to the soul, and more feared by the enemies of our salvation; nor, finally, have I found a devotion that is more attractive and more satisfying” (“The Love of Eternal Wisdom”, Ch. 17, #2).
This is a devotion to Mary which can give the average Catholic greater knowledge of God than most of the Saints had. That’s because, as you remember, St. Louis says most of the Saints didn’t know it.
In fact, he even so far as to say that this devotion will help you surpass them.
“The formation and education of the great Saints who shall come at the end of the world are reserved for her. For it is only that singular and miraculous Virgin who can produce, in union with the Holy Ghost, singular and extraordinary things” (True Devotion, #35).
And…
“I have said that this would come to pass particularly at the end of the world, and indeed presently, because the Most High with His holy Mother has to form for Himself great Saints, who shall surpass most of the other Saints in sanctity, as much as the cedars of Lebanon outgrow the little shrubs, as has been revealed to a holy soul, whose life has been written by a great servant of God” (True Devotion, #47).
What’s more, this devotion is simpler and far easier to practice than any other devotion to Mary.
That’s why St. Louis calls it “…a path of roses and honey compared with the other paths” (True Devotion, #152).
You give your package to the clerk to put postage on it.

“Now is the acceptable time; now is the day of salvation” (2 Cor. 6:2)
God looked at His creation and saw that it was good. Time is part of His creation (Gen. 1:1-5).
So, we have to use every moment of our time for His greatest glory.
In fact, He tells us to do so.
“So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything for the glory of God” (1 Cor. 10:31).
We really have to be cognizant about how we spend our time, because God is not indifferent to how we spend it.
The “Father of mercies” (2 Cor. 1:3) revealed this devotion, because He wants to help you carry out what He commands, and to use your time in the way that is most pleasing to Him and most beneficial for you.
St. Louis states:
“This devotion, faithfully practiced, is an excellent means of making sure that the value of all our good works shall be employed for the greatest glory of God. Scarcely anyone acts for that noble end, although we are all under an obligation to do so” (True Devotion, #151).
Now, there isn’t a single instance in the Bible where God gives a command and didn’t expect immediate action.
Jesus commanded us: “Be perfect as your heavenly Father is perfect” (Mt. 5:48).
His call to perfection is a call to give God His Father the greatest glory possible at every moment of your life, as soon as possible.
When it came to giving glory to His Father, Jesus tolerated no delay.
To see just how much He loathes it when people do not immediately seize the opportunity to advance in the spiritual life, check out Mt. 8:21-22, Lk. 14:28, and the Parable of the Ten Virgins.
The Bible tells us in other places:
“This is the will of God, your sanctification” (1 Th. 4:3).
“Make your calling and election sure” (2 Pt. 1:10).
“He that is holy, let him be sanctified still” (Apoc. 22:11).
God gave those commands with the expectation of an immediate response to advance in the spiritual life. And so, putting it off can never be a good idea.
St. Louis reminds us that this devotion “…is a path trodden by Jesus Christ, the Incarnate Wisdom, our sole Head. One of His members in passing by the same road cannot deceive himself” (True Devotion, #168).
Jesus said: “I always do the things that please Him” (Jn. 8:29).
And also: “I lay down My life for My sheep” (Jn. 10:15).
And St. Paul wrote: “He loved me, and delivered Himself for me” (Gal. 2:20).
Therefore, Christ’s sacrificial love for us demands that we use our time for Him in the best way.
And how could delaying to follow Jesus on the path of this devotion to Mary, which ensures you give the greatest glory to His Father, ever be a good decision?

Jesus warns us:
“Enter through the narrow gate; for wide is the gate is wide and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and those who enter through it are many. How narrow is the gate and constricted is the way that leads to life. And few there are who find it!” (Mt. 7:13-14)
And…
“Strive to enter by the narrow gate; for many, I say to you, shall seek to enter, and shall not be able” (Lk. 13:24).
And He also said: “I am the gate” (Jn. 10:9).
There’s two things you can count on if you don’t follow Him on the path of this devotion:
(1) the narrow gate to Heaven won’t get wider.
(2) the devil won’t cut you any slack. In fact, he’ll have an easier time with you.
St. Louis warns:
“Because the devils, who are skillful thieves, wish to surprise us unawares, and to strip us. They watch night and day for the favorable moment. For that end they go round about us incessantly to devour us, and to snatch from us in one moment, by a sin, all that we have gained of graces and of merits for many years.
“Their malice, their experience, their stratagems, and their number, ought to make us fear immensely this misfortune, especially when we see how many persons, fuller of grace that we are, richer in virtues, better founded in experience, and far higher exalted in sanctity, have been surprised, robbed, and unhappily pillaged” (True Devotion, #88).
Considering everything Jesus and St. Louis have warned about, can you afford to risk living without this devotion to Mary for even a day?
St. Peter reminds us that the devil doesn’t take a day off, or any time, for that matter:
“Be sober and vigilant. Your adversary the devil is prowling around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour” (1 Pt. 5:8).
He intended for everyone to be sober and vigilant on the daily.
Jesus also tells us: “You also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect” (Lk. 12:40).
This devotion to His holy Mother is the best way for you to be always prepared.
Listen, St. Louis isn’t trying to scare you. From the revelations he received (Our Lady used to appear to him), he’s telling you catastrophic things that can happen to you, and which have destroyed so many others.
That’s why he emphasizes:
“The number of the elect is so small — so small — that, were we to know how small it is, we would faint away with grief: one here and there, scattered up and down the world!”
And…
“Be one of the small number who finds the way to life, and enter by the narrow gate into Heaven. Take care not to follow the majority and the common herd, so many of whom are lost. Do not be deceived; there are only two roads: one that leads to life and is narrow; the other that leads to death and is wide. There is no middle way.”

The devil is painless like carbon monoxide, not painful like a toothache.
If you have a toothache, you won’t wait for it to resolve on its own. The severity of the pain will force you to take immediate action to get rid of the pain.
But since Satan “transforms himself into an angel of light” (2 Cor. 11:14), you won’t feel any pain if your devotion to Mary is false or counterfeit…until it’s too late.
That’s why you simply cannot put off discovering whether or not your devotion to Mary is authentic or not. You can’t wait until you get before the Judgment Seat of Christ, because then it WILL be too late.
That’s why St. Louis is so insistent that you follow Jesus on this path.
“Let him embrace with a great heart and a willing mind this devotion to our Blessed Lady, which perhaps he has not known before; let him enter into this excellent way, which was unknown to him and which I now point out” (True Devotion, #168).
And…
“We must draw the whole world, if we can, to her service and to this true and solid devotion” (True Devotion, #265).
Then he reminds you:
“It is Mary alone who has found grace before God, without the aid of any other mere creature: it is only by her that all those who have found grace before God have found it at all; and it is only by her that all those who shall come afterwards shall find it” (True Devotion, #44).
Do you really want to try to fight the devil – because you DO have to fight him – without making use of the best devotion to Mary at your disposal?
He continues:
“The strongest inclination of Mary is to unite us to Jesus Christ her Son; and the strongest inclination of the Son is that we should come to Him by His holy Mother” (True Devotion, #75).
Now, do you really think that Jesus and Mary want you to wait to get started with this devotion?
Absolutely not. Why would they want you to wait to get started?
Jesus and Mary want you to get started today. Not tomorrow, not next week, or next year, but NOW.
And not only because Jesus wants you to give the greatest glory to His Father.
But also, because St. Louis says Jesus and Mary have big plans for you.
“Do not think, dear soul, that Mary, the most fruitful of all pure creatures, who has brought forth even a God, remains idle in a faithful soul. She will cause Jesus Christ to live in that soul, and the soul to live in constant union with Jesus Christ” (Secret, #56).
When Jesus said, “Abide in Me” (Jn. 15:4), He meant for you to do so right away.

And…
“Oh, how highly we glorify God, when, to please Him, we submit ourselves to Mary, after the example of Jesus Christ, our sole Model!” (True Devotion, #18)
