The Church needs Catholics who are safe, not in the sense of the man in the Gospel who thought he was playing it safe, but made a bad decision by burying the one talent entrusted to him, because he knew his master was a hard man (Mt. 25:24), but in the sense of making decisions and making them right.
Today and during the coming years, as in past centuries, the devil will cause the eternal ruin of many, even those who claim to be devoted to Mary.
In fact, St. Louis-Marie de Montfort said:
“There are at this time, more than ever, false devotions to our Blessed Lady which it is easy to mistake for true ones. The devil, like a counterfeiter and a subtle and experienced deceiver, has already deceived and destroyed so many souls by a false devotion to the Blessed Virgin, that he makes a daily use of his diabolical experience to plunge many others by this same way into everlasting perdition” (“True Devotion to Mary”, #90).
And so, we are not exaggerating in the least the need for safe Catholics who’ll make the right decisions. So badly are these Catholics needed that God has gone to extraordinary lengths to recruit them by multiplying Our Lady’s apparitions.
Indeed, the Holy Spirit has given the Church a devotion, which St. Louis-Marie de Montfort organized and systematized in his “True Devotion to Mary”. Interestingly, the Holy Spirit didn’t reveal this devotion to most of the Saints. In fact, St. Louis says:
“There have been some Saints, but they have been in small numbers, who have passed by this sweet path to go to Jesus, because the Holy Ghost, faithful Spouse of Mary, has by a singular grace disclosed it to them. But the rest of the Saints, who are the greater number, although they have all had devotion to our Blessed Lady, have not on that account, or at least very little, entered upon this way” (#152).
That’s why St. Louis calls this devotion…
“…a mystery of grace unknown to even the wisest and most spiritual among Christians” (#21)
“…a secret unknown to almost all Christians, even the most devout” (#33).
And while saying this devotion is “more glorious to God, more sanctifying to the soul, and more useful to our neighbor, than any other of the devotions to her” (#119), and you can “give Jesus more glory in a month than by any other practice, however difficult, in many years” (#222), most people never crack the code on this secret of grace.
We don’t know why the Holy Spirit kept the secret of this devotion hidden. But thankfully, the time for it to blossom is now, because St. Louis says: “God wishes that His holy Mother should be at present more known, more loved, more honored, than she has ever been” (#55).
“Abbé Antonin Lhoumeau was a man gifted with great talents. Fr. Lhoumeau made an enormous contribution to the spread of Marian spirituality. He wrote books which were very well received, and greatly encouraged the creation of reviews in the various countries where the Montfort Missionaries were present. He himself, while an Assistant, had launched in France the review “Le Règne de Jésus par Marie” (The Reign of Jesus through Mary).”
And he’s written an enlightening, uniquely un-academic book, filled with the spirit of St. Louis-Marie de Montfort, called “The Virgin Mary and the Apostles of the Last Times”, published for anyone who’s interested in having accurate information about the last times and specifically Mary’s role in them.
You’ll see how the “True Devotion to Mary” is the weapon of choice in the hands of the children of the Virgin. You’ll understand the enmity between Mary and the devil better than you ever have before, and, most likely, better than anyone you know (Starting on page 26).
You’ll uncover the tactics the devil uses to try to destroy the enmity God has established between the Woman and the devil, and you’ll be much better prepared to combat them.
You’ll read St. Louis de Montfort’s clear idea of what a priest of Mary should be (This is relevant for you, because St. John Bosco says the holier the priests, the holier the people.). You’ll grasp firmly why to follow Mary is to follow Jesus faithfully (Page 58)
And this is just the beginning! You’ll discover precisely why St. Louis-Marie had such a great devotion to St. Michael the Archangel, and, consequently, why you should too (See page 67).
And you’ll know how you can help priests become true Marian apostles, because several chapters are especially devoted to them.
This book, shows you, for the first time, the End Times from an entirely Marian perspective, through the eyes of St. Louis de Montfort.
“The Virgin Mary and the Apostles of the Last Times”, the sixth book in the “True Devotion to Mary Series”, and part of the “Accelerated Marian Program”, is the only one completely dedicated to commenting on these words of St. Louis de Montfort in his “True Devotion to Mary”:
“The formation and the education of the great Saints who shall come at the end of the world are reserved for (Mary)” (“True Devotion to Mary”, #35), and, “I have said that this would come to pass particularly at the end of the world, and indeed presently, because the Most High with His holy Mother has to form for Himself great Saints, who shall surpass most of the other Saints in sanctity, as much as the cedars of Lebanon outgrow the little shrubs, as has been revealed to a holy soul, whose life has been written by a great servant of God” (#47).
“They shall be great and exalted before God in sanctity, superior to all other creatures by their animated zeal, and leaning so strongly on the divine succor, that, with the humility of their heel, in union with Mary, they shall crush the head of the devil, and cause Jesus Christ to triumph” (#54).
“This fullness of perspective, which simultaneously embraces the past and the future, which connects the last ages of the world to the first and shows us in all its extent the plan of divine Wisdom for Mary, is assuredly of an extraordinary originality and magnificence; and this is why among so many other prophetic views those of St. Louis-Marie de Montfort stand out” (p. 18).
“As the battle becomes widespread and intensified, the Marian devotion of St. Louis-Marie de Montfort, already so well adapted to the needs of his time, spreads in a surprising way and proves to be a weapon of choice in the hands of the children of the Virgin” (p.22).
“Such is the characteristic originality of de Montfort’s insights about the end times: they refer everything to Mary as to their main purpose. We shall see it more and more clearly by meditating on what he says about the apostles whom the Virgin is to form for this time so troubled for the Church militant. The portrait which Montfort drew of it and the description of their apostolate fills some pages that we would look for in vain elsewhere” (p. 25).
These, then, are the kinds of words and thoughts you’re going to encounter in this book.
And this book is an easy read. It’ll give you quite a few “a-ha” moments. And if you stay with them and let them sink into your mind, gradually you’ll take on the attitude Jesus wants you to have about the End Times and be prepared for them.

And what was His final piece of advice?
“Be watchful! I have told it all to you beforehand” (Mk. 13:23).
Even though Jesus said you can’t know “the day nor the hour” (Mt. 25:13), He didn’t say you couldn’t recognize the signs of the last times. In fact, He told the Apostles some of them.
“For at that time there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will be. And if those days had not been shortened, no one would be saved; but for the sake of the elect they will be shortened” (Mt. 24:21-22).
Previously, He had said: “Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the road broad that leads to destruction, and those who enter through it are many. How narrow the gate and constricted the road that leads to life. And those who find it are few” (Mt. 7:13-14).
So you can see “The Virgin Mary and the Apostles of the Last Times” is for serious Catholics only. It’s a quick read. And you’ll want to read it again. Frankly, it’s difficult for me to understand how any Catholic who takes seriously Jesus’ words about being prepared for the last times and the Virgin Mary’s role in them can afford not to read it.
Jesus wants you to be prepared for the end times. And YOU CAN with this book. When you consider the praise the Montfort Fathers lavished on Fr. Lhoumeau’s Marian writings, you certainly won’t be worse off for reading it. And you get a 30-day money-back, no-hassle, no-questions-asked guarantee.
